I develop ideas and practical guidance on human capability in the age of agentic AI. My work draws on a detailed understanding of AI agents and extensive experience in professional learning.
I help people think through what these systems make possible, what to delegate to them and how to continue developing their own judgement and expertise.
Understanding and using AI agents
I can help explain how agents work, assess where they may be useful and shape workflows that use them. This includes systems in which several agents work together, the information and tools they need, and how their work is directed and checked.
Professional learning and human capability
AI can take on some of the work through which people have traditionally developed expertise. I can help organisations consider what this means for professional learning and how people will gain the experience needed to judge work they increasingly delegate.
This includes shaping learning approaches that develop judgement, connect different forms of knowledge and help people understand the work as a whole.
Judgement, oversight and responsibility
Decisions about an agent’s objectives and authority can have consequences beyond the immediate task. I can help work through what to delegate, who remains accountable and what people need to exercise effective oversight.
That involves considering whether people have enough understanding, visibility and authority to question or redirect the work, as well as how its results should be evaluated.
AI strategy and adoption
I can help organisations assess where AI could make a useful contribution and what its use would change for their people and their work.
There are opportunities for people to develop new ideas, attempt work that was previously beyond their reach, and take on greater responsibility. I can help identify where those opportunities lie and think through the changes needed to realise them.
